"Gollum" is a beautiful piece of art. So much detail has been done to - everything! Every bit of this picture has been greatly detailed with care and thought. I am quite fond of the spectacular shading, especially on the face. The eyes look so intense too, this must've taken so much time because it's so accurately detailed. The background is vague and stands-out but it's not too strong to over run the main subject of the picture. Composition has been well thought here in the rule of thirds; placing the subject in the middle. It's also a very aesthetic piece of work because it catches your attention because of how brilliantly it's been executed! The colours of the picture: mainly blue and darker colours with light work really well together. The lighting in the picture makes it seem more realistic and somewhat 3D. A lot of depth has been put into this picture. It's a close up, so you see more and focus more on the main subject. The tone of the picture overall is dark - this adds to the sinister vibe the picture releases making it a more emotional piece to look at. Back to the shading: I can see that you've used several techniques to do the shading, some layers of dark and light covered with sharp lines which is really effective and makes it more appealing to look at. I'm finding it difficult to say ways of improvement, perhaps more detail on the background to make it look more realistic to add to the menacing mood this picture shouts out! All-in-all, this picture of "Gollum" is truly remarkable and who knows how long you've taken to do such work and with such care too. Purely, in one word, this is: extraordinary...
